Selective growth seen for property earnings in 3Q

MBSB Research said approved loans signal caution despite a 7.2% rebound in September year-on-year.

PETALING JAYA: The earnings outlook for property stocks for the third quarter of financial year 2026 (3Q26) is not expected to present any major surprises as there are no strong catalysts underpinning property demand in the near term, says MBSB Research.

The research house noted earnings performance for property stocks in 2Q26 was mixed, as companies that reported strong profitability was largely driven by one-off gains such as land disposals, whereas others recorded weaker results due to margin pressures and operational challenges.
