PETALING JAYA: MM Computer Systems Bhd has accepted a purchase order for the supply of enterprise-grade, graphics processing unit or GPU-accelerated servers valued at RM51.57mil from an undisclosed customer.
In a filing with the local bourse, MM Computer said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Micro Technology Solution Sdn Bhd, had secured the win, and it was in the best interest of the company.
This win also marked a significant addition to its business profile.
Micro Technology is primarily involved in the provision of information technology (IT) solutions including IT infrastructure and networking solutions, cybersecurity solutions, IT outsourcing services, and sale and leasing of IT hardware and software.
The GPUs are set to support computationally intensive workloads, including generative artificial intelligence, large language model or LLM training and inference, deep learning, advanced data analytics and high-performance computing to the customer.
According to MM Computer, the customer is involved in the provision of telecommunications infrastructure and data centre services, among other things.
“The purchase order is to be fulfilled within 25 days upon receipt of a 50% downpayment of the total purchase order value,” the group said. It added this is expected to contribute positively to the earnings per share and net assets per share of the group.
