GDB secures RM877mil logistics hub contract in Shah Alam

Apex Securities Research has upgraded GDB’s earnings forecasts for FY26, FY27 and FY28 to RM75.1mil, RM78.1mil and RM72.2mil, respectively.

KUALA LUMPUR: GDB Holdings Bhd has secured an RM877mil contract to build a logistics hub in Seksyen 15, Shah Alam, lifting its outstanding order book to a record RM2.93bil.

In a statement, the construction group said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Grand Dynamic Builders Sdn Bhd, had been appointed as the main contractor for the project.

The contract involves the construction of two five-storey logistics hub buildings with integrated mezzanine offices and a three-storey cafeteria.

The works are scheduled to commence in November 2026 and targeted for completion in September 2029.

GDB said the contract, its largest logistics hub project to date, brings its total contract wins for 2026 to RM2.69bil.

The enlarged order book is expected to provide earnings visibility until 2031.

GDB executive director and acting group managing director Andy Lai Wee Young said the contract marked another step in the group's expansion into large-scale industrial and logistics facilities.

“Building on our strong base in Peninsular Malaysia, our strategic expansion into East Malaysia and across divers sectors including large-scale logistics, hospitals, premium residential, and civil infrastructure, creates a resilient portfolio for the Group.

“We aim to bring the GDB name to every part of the country and reinforce our position as a preferred national builder.”

The latest contract is expected to contribute positively to GDB's earnings throughout the construction period.

The group plans to finance the project through internally generated funds and bank borrowings.
