KUALA LUMPUR: Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Hussain has received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Business Today Industry Choice Awards 2026, in recognition of his distinguished career in Malaysia’s financial services industry.
In a statement, TH said that under Abdul Rashid’s leadership, it received the Labaytum Diamond Award for excellence in Hajj operations from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah earlier this year. It was TH’s second consecutive win and its fifth Labaytum award.
Abdul Rashid said the recognition had given him a renewed sense of purpose.
"There is still work to do, still knowledge to share, still lives we can help change. The true measure of a lifetime is what continues to benefit others when our work is done,” he said.
As the nation’s leading Islamic financial institution, TH remains committed to strengthening operational excellence and serving its depositors and Hajj pilgrims, it said. - Bernama
