Axis REIT shares up in early trade on stronger 3Q performance

KUALA LUMPUR: Axis Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) shares rose in early trade following a stronger performance in the third quarter (3Q) ended Sept 30, 2026.

At 10.14 am, the counter rose one sen to RM1.79, with 53,700 shares traded.

The REIT filed with Bursa a higher net profit of RM54.79 million for 3Q 2026, up from RM52.12 million a year ago while revenue slid to RM90.77 million from RM92.76 million.

In a research note today, RHB Investment Bank Bhd said it expects earnings to recover gradually from 4Q 2026, supported by committed lease-ups and contributions from recently completed acquisitions.

"We think the earnings setback was partly due to timing and temporary vacancy gaps during tenant transitions, while the growing pipeline of largely pre-leased assets provides earnings visibility for financial year 2027,” it said.

The investment bank has maintained its "Buy” with a target price of RM2.30 per share. - Bernama
