RT Pastry proposes RM22mil acquisition of industrial land in Seri Kembangan

PETALING JAYA: RT Pastry Holdings Bhd is proposing to acquire two industrial land parcels in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, from Koh Lean Chong & Sons (M) Sdn Bhd for RM22mil

The properties comprise an industrial land parcel with a single-storey detached factory and three-storey office annex, as well as an adjacent vacant industrial land parcel.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the proposed acquisition forms part of the company’s future plans and business strategies to cater to the growth of their business moving forward.

“The larger manufacturing area will allow the group to optimise its workflow and improve employee productivity through a more comfortable working environment, as well as to accommodate new deck ovens and mixers as well as other machinery and equipment for future expansion.

“With the additional space and machinery, the group’s annual manufacturing capacity for pastry and other manufactured products is expected to increase from approximately 2.55 million units to approximately 2.80 million units, supporting the planned expansion of its outlet network.”

Additionally, the company said it had accepted a letter of offer from RHB Islamic Bank Bhd for banking facilities totalling RM28.78mil, which are, among others, to part finance the proposed acquisition.
