Epicon secures RM47.38mil subcontract for NNPE extension

PETALING JAYA: Epicon Bhd has secured a sub-contract from IJM Construction Sdn Bhd for works in relation to the supply of precast segmental crosshead for the privatisation project of the New Pantai Expressway extension, worth RM47.38mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Epicon said the sub-contract works are expected to commence in mid-November 2026 and be completed by the end of November 2028.

Epicon said the acceptance of the contract is not expected to have any effect on the share capital and shareholdings of the substantial shareholders of the company.

“The sub-contract works are expected to contribute positively to the future revenue, earnings and net assets of the company and its subsidiaries over the duration of the sub-contract works.

“The company does not expect any material risk arising from the letter of award other than the normal operational risks associated with the sub-contract works and the business risk within the industry, for which the company would take appropriate measures to minimise it.”
