Swift Energy wins RM59mil purchase orders

PETALING JAYA: Swift Energy Technology Bhd has secured six purchase orders worth a combined RM59.07mil for data centre, oil and gas and solar power projects in Malaysia and Thailand.

In a statement, the industrial automation, electrical and energy solutions provider said its subsidiary Swift Energy Sdn Bhd (SESB), together with Azimuth Energy Sdn Bhd through a joint venture, secured its first engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract.

The project involves supplying equipment for a complete 11kV substation at a gas compression plant in Johor for an undisclosed customer, described as a “leading Malaysian integrated oil and gas company”.

The joint venture partners have yet to determine their respective shares of the project pending finalisation of their scopes of work.

Separately, SESB secured three orders for data centre projects in Malaysia, covering electrical equipment, low-voltage fit-out panels and building management system panels, respectively.
