Ryt Bank customers can now use Apple Pay with Ryt Card

KUALA LUMPUR: Ryt Bank has added Apple Pay support for its Ryt Card, allowing customers to make payments using compatible Apple devices.

The digital bank, in a statement, said the move makes it the first digital bank in Malaysia to support both Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Ryt Bank introduced Google Pay support in January this year.

“With Apple Pay, customers can make contactless payments using their Apple devices wherever Apple Pay is accepted,” it said, adding that every Apple Pay transaction is authenticated using Face ID, Touch ID or a device passcode.

The service also uses a device-specific account number and transaction-specific security code instead of transmitting card details during payments.

Customers can add their Ryt Card to Apple Wallet by opening the Wallet app on a compatible Apple device, selecting the “+” button and following the instructions to add the card.
