Privasia unit gets Miti nod for DC project

KUALA LUMPUR: Privasia Technology Bhd’s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Silver Streams Technofarm Sdn Bhd (SSTF), has received approval from the Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti) to develop a data centre (DC) project in Bagan Datuk, Perak.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Privasia said Miti, via a letter dated Sept 7, 2026, approved SSTF’s application for the development of the project.

“The approval granted by Miti is subject to standard regulatory terms and conditions, which include the requirement to secure an off-grid energy supply with a maximum demand of 50 megawatts.

“This must be in compliance with applicable guidelines, policies and renewable energy frameworks set by the Energy Commission and relevant authorities,” it said. — Bernama
