KUALA LUMPUR: Khazanah Nasional Bhd’s Dana Impak has mobilised RM2.6bil in investments, supporting about 130 Malaysian and Malaysian-linked companies and more than 4,200 workers.

According to the Dana Impak Report released today, 64% of the talent supported were in skilled roles.

As at Dec 31, 2025, RM905mil deployed into these companies had directly crowded-in RM433mil of external capital, equivalent to 48 sen for every RM1 invested by Khazanah.

Khazanah managing director Datuk Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir said Dana Impak would continue to focus on developing Malaysian companies and attracting additional capital and partnerships.

“Looking ahead, Dana Impak will continue to deepen capabilities and talent in strategic ecosystems, and under the Ministry of Finance’s GEAR-uP initiative, we will continue to mobilise capital and partnerships to support more Malaysian companies and entrepreneurs scale, compete globally and capture a greater share of the value they create,” he said in a statement.

Since 2024, Dana Impak has focused on three areas — the venture capital and startup ecosystem, mid-tier companies, and semiconductors and advanced manufacturing.

In the venture capital segment, Dana Impak has allocated up to RM1bil through Jelawang Capital to support early-stage funding and fund managers.

Jelawang Capital has supported five Malaysian fund managers under its Emerging Fund Managers’ Programme and committed to two fund managers under its Regional Fund Managers’ Initiative.

For mid-tier companies, Khazanah said Dana Impak combines capacity-building programmes with private equity, private credit and direct investments.

As at end-2025, Khazanah had supported 48 Malaysian mid-tier companies through its Mid-Tier Companies Growth Innovation Programme and ELEVATE Programme.

In semiconductors and advanced manufacturing, Dana Impak's investments include SkyeChip Bhd, which Khazanah supported from its early-stage development through to becoming a cornerstone investor in its initial public offering.

The Cambrian Fund, a partnership involving Khazanah, the co-founders of ViTrox and Southern Capital Group, has meanwhile raised RM104.5mil to invest in Malaysian Industry 4.0 businesses.

Khazanah said it measures the impact of Dana Impak investments through its Socio-Economic Metrics Assessment Ratings at Khazanah (SEMARAK) framework.

The framework assesses investments based on three areas — developing strategic ecosystems, transforming Malaysian companies and developing Malaysian companies with the potential to expand further.
