KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Digital Economy Corp (MDEC) chief executive officer or CEO Anuar Fariz Fadzil will conclude his tenure after completing his two-year contract on Oct 2, 2026.
The agency said Anuar informed the MDEC board that after careful consideration, he has decided not to seek a renewal of his contract as he prepares to pursue new opportunities outside MDEC.
During Anuar’s tenure, MDEC delivered strong investment and employment outcomes.
“From 2025 to August 2026, MDEC secured close to RM180bil in digital investments from more than 1,000 Malaysia Digital-status companies,” the agency said in a statement.
Beyond investment, it noted that Anuar sharpened MDEC’s focus on execution, accountability and measurable economic outcomes. — Bernama
