KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Property Bhd has marked the topping-off of Kanopi Residences, its first high-rise residential development at Elmina City Centre, with the 36-storey project scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027.

With a gross development value (GDV) of RM299mil, the development comprises 499 freehold units and has recorded a 90% take-up rate since its launch in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Located on Persiaran Garcinia near Elmina Lakeside Mall, Kanopi Residences is part of the 350-acre Elmina City Centre within the wider 6,500-acre City of Elmina township.

The development offers units ranging from 550 to 1,200 sq ft, with facilities including co-working and lounge spaces, fitness areas and recreational and community facilities.

In a statement, Sime Darby Property chief operating officer of township development Appollo Leong said the milestone reflected the work of the project teams, consultants and contractors.

“This achievement is a direct reflection of the hard work of everyone involved, from our consultants and contractors to the project teams whose dedication and collaboration have enabled us to reach this important milestone safely and on schedule.

“More importantly, it reflects Sime Darby Property’s commitment to delivering quality developments on schedule while fulfilling the trust our buyers have placed in us,” he said.

Kanopi Residences is located about 300 metres from Elmina Lakeside Mall and within walking distance of Elmina Central Park. The development also has access to the Guthrie Corridor Expressway and Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH).

The project is designed around an afforestation living concept inspired by the nearby Bukit Cherakah Forest Reserve and includes more than 35 wellness-themed facilities.

The development is Sime Darby Property’s latest residential addition to Elmina City Centre, where the group is expanding its mix of residential, commercial and recreational components.
