Southern Score bags RM147mil data centre deal

PETALING JAYA: Southern Score Builders Bhd (SSBB) has secured a letter of award from a local construction company to undertake sub-contract works known as “Electrical Package 3 Works” for a data centre project worth RM146.53mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the commencement date of the project shall be on July 27, 2026, with the expected final completion date being Jan 15, 2028.

SSBB said the project will not have any effect on its share capital and shareholding structure, adding that there will not be any immediate effect on the net assets per share and gearing of the company.

“However, the project is expected to contribute positively to the net assets and earnings per share of the company and its group of companies for the financial year ending June 30, 2027 onwards until the completion of the project.

“The board is of the opinion that the project is in the best interest of the group,” it said.
