Dataprep taps Wan Ahmad as chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: Information technology service provider Dataprep Holdings Bhd has redesignated its managing director, Wan Ahmad Rudirman Wan Razak, as its executive chairman with immediate effect, according to its filings with Bursa Malaysia.

Earlier, Dataprep also named Rashwin Thind Gurmit Singh as its new chief executive officer, replacing Datuk Syahril Yusri Abdul Aziz, effective Monday.

Syahril Yusri, in turn, would assume his new role as the company’s executive director.

In its announcement on Monday, Dataprep said Rashwin is an entrepreneur and executive with over 15 years of leadership experience across aviation, telecommunications, technology, sustainable resources and agri-technology.

“He has a strong track record in business development, regulatory turnarounds and stakeholder management across Malaysia and Asean,” said the group. — Agencies
