West River secures RM11mil M&E contract for Celora Sunway project

KUALA LUMPUR: West River Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, West River Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a mechanical and electrical (M&E) works contract worth RM11mil from Mabuco Sdn Bhd for the proposed Celora Sunway serviced apartment development.

In a statement, the electrical engineering and intelligent building solutions provider said the contract covers electrical and lightning protection services, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation services.

These comprise supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning works, with maintenance also included under the air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation scope. “The electrical and lightning protection scope is valued at RM7.65mil, while the air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation scope is valued at RM3.35mil.”

Under the awarded scope, West River Engineering will carry out the works in accordance with the relevant project requirements, tender documents, drawings, specifications and related conditions.

The completion date for the works is stated as Dec 2, 2028, with execution to be coordinated with the main contractor’s programme.

Managing director Lim Yong Lai said the contract reflects clients’ confidence in West River Engineering’s technical capabilities.
