Duopharma units secure extension for Health Ministry supply contracts

PETALING JAYA: Duopharma Biotech Bhd wholly-owned subsidiaries — Duopharma (M) Sdn Bhd (DMSB), Duopharma Manufacturing (Bangi) Sdn Bhd (DMfgB) and Duopharma HAPI Sdn Bhd, have received notices of extension from Pharmaniaga Logistics Sdn Bhd regarding their supply agreements with the Ministry of Health Malaysia under the Approved Products Purchase List.

The contracts, originally set to expire on Dec 31, 2026, have been extended from Jan 1, 2027 to June 30, 2027, or such other date as directed by the Government of Malaysia.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Duopharma stated that under the latest extended period, the subsidiaries will supply a total of 97 products, compared to 100 previously agreed.

DMSB excluded one product, DMfgB excluded two, while DHAPI continues with its full product list. All three subsidiaries executed their acceptance of the extensions on July 31.

The product supply agreements reinforce Duopharma’s role as a key pharmaceutical supplier to the government.
