ES Ceramics’ 4Q net profit doubles to RM4.7mil

PETALING JAYA: ES Ceramics Technology Bhd’s net profit for its fourth quarter ended May 31, 2026 (4Q), rose to RM4.69mil from RM2.11mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue during the quarter improved to RM132.62mil from RM119.66mil a year earlier, driven mainly by the group’s building materials division.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the improvement was mainly attributable to the success in the alignment of the structural cost base, coupled with better cost controls across operations, resulting in improved margin.

For the financial year ended May 31, 2026, the company’s net profit rose to RM15.43mil from RM6.44mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue grew to RM487.26mil from RM473.28mil a year earlier.

“Despite the prevailing challenges, the group remains cautiously optimistic on its medium to long-term business prospects,” it said.
