Unisem appoints Lee Jee Kheong as COO


KUALA LUMPUR: Unisem (M) Bhd has appointed Lee Jee Kheong as its new chief operating officer (COO).

The semiconductor assembly and testing firm said Lee, who will oversee all Unisem Malaysia Operations, including Unisem Advanced Technologies Sdn Bhd (UAT), will report to the group COO from August 1.

"In his new role, JK Lee will provide leadership and oversight of Unisem (M) Bhd and UAT's manufacturing operations. 

"He will focus on strengthening operational excellence, improving productivity, enhancing quality performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and further strengthening our support for customers and business partners," it said. 

Lee joined Unisem Ipoh in 1992 as a manufacturing supervisor, before being promoted to manager of the Leaded Department and operations manager of the WLCSP Department. 

Since 2024, he has served as the general manager of UAT, where he oversees all manufacturing operations at the bumping facility.
