KUALA LUMPUR: Reservoir Link Energy Bhd’s 60%-owned subsidiary, Reservoir Link Solutions Sdn Bhd, has been appointed as a panel contractor by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (PETRONAS) for the provision of integrated discovered resource assessment services under Package 2 – Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) and Contaminant.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, it said the five-year panel appointment is effective from May 14, 2026, to May 13, 2031.

The scope of work includes data consolidation and management, geological and geophysical evaluation, subsurface and surface development planning, economic analysis, and the preparation and submission of final reports. The participating PETRONAS operating units are PETRONAS and PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd.

“The appointment does not constitute a guarantee of works from PETRONAS.

“Any works, if any, shall be awarded through mini-bidding and/or direct award exercises throughout the tenure of the panel appointment.”

Reservoir Link expects the appointment to contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial year ending June 30, 2027, and throughout the appointment period, as and when work orders are awarded.

Executive deputy chairman Thien Chiet Chai said securing the five-year panel appointment from PETRONAS reflects the group’s technical capabilities and growing expertise in CCUS-related services.

“This appointment further strengthens our position as a key player in Malaysia’s energy transition initiatives.
