KUALA LUMPUR: Betamek Bhd has soft-launched Betamek Sanshin (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary aimed at strengthening the group's customer engagement capabilities and supporting its regional expansion plans.

The launch was officiated by Betamek managing director Mirzan Mahathir and Shenzhen Zhonghong Technology Co Ltd co-founder and chief executive officer Su Jun.

Betamek, an original design manufacturer of electronic components for the automotive and industrial sectors, said the new subsidiary will serve as a platform to deepen relationships with customers and business partners while pursuing new opportunities and strategic collaborations across Southeast Asia.

The company said Sanshin is equipped with Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) and International Procurement Centre (IPC) status, enabling it to support customers with cross-border manufacturing, sourcing and regional distribution activities.

According to Betamek, these capabilities will facilitate import and export processes, improve supply chain flexibility and support companies seeking to establish or expand their presence in Malaysia and the wider Asean region.

Executive director Muhammad Fauzi Abd Ghani said the launch of Sanshin marks an important step in strengthening the group's engagement with customers, business partners and international visitors.

“With LMW and IPC capabilities in place, we are well-positioned to support companies that require efficient cross-border manufacturing, procurement and regional distribution solutions.

“As more businesses look to Malaysia as a gateway to ASEAN, Sanshin provides a strong platform for us to facilitate meaningful discussions, drive operational collaboration and build long-term partnerships,” he said in a statement.

Moving forward, Betamek said it will continue to enhance its operational capabilities and customer engagement initiatives while exploring opportunities to support regional business development and cross-border partnerships.
