Ajinomoto shares to be suspended on June 22 pending material announcement


KUALA LUMPUR: Ajinomoto (M) Bhd has requested a suspension in the trading of its shares on Bursa Malaysia pending the release of a material announcement.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd had approved its request for a trading suspension from 9 am to 5 pm on June 22, 2026.

Ajinomoto said the suspension was sought under subparagraph 3.1(b)(i) of Practice Note 2 on Requests for Suspension of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities.

The counter closed 16 sen or 1.04% lower at RM15.20 on Friday, giving the group a market capitalisation of about RM924.16mil. Despite the decline, the stock has gained more than 11% year-to-date.
