Kee Ming unit wins RM21.4mil contract

PETALING JAYA: Kee Ming Holdings Bhd has secured a RM21.36mil subcontract for electrical engineering works at a hyperscale data centre project in Puncak Alam, strengthening its order book for the current financial year.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the mechanical and electrical engineering solutions provider said its wholly owned subsidiary, Kee Ming Electrical Sdn Bhd (KME), accepted a letter of award on June 9 from a third-party contractor involved in integrated mechanical and electrical (M&E) solutions, including data centre infrastructure and turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.

The subcontract covers the supply, delivery and installation of external utility infrastructure, including high-voltage, medium-voltage, low-voltage, extra-low-voltage and telecommunications duct works, as well as electrical works for the project's main building.

Work under the first package will commence immediately upon acceptance of the award, while the second package will begin upon the issuance of a notice to proceed by the contractor.

The project is scheduled for completion by Dec 30, 2026.

Kee Ming said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings, earnings per share and net assets for the financial year ending March 31, 2027, barring unforeseen circumstances.
