PETALING JAYA: UOA Development Bhd
has announced that its managing director Kong Chong Soon @ Chi Suim, has passed away.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the property company said Kong, 85, was appointed a director and managing director of the company on May 27, 2004.
“He was responsible for the overall group management, strategic development and growth of the group.
“He was the co-founder of UOA Group, and had served the company with exceptional distinction and integrity with his steadfast leadership and guidance.
“With his contribution, the company has seen growth, governance and long-term success.”
UOA Development said Kong’s previous experiences included his 42 years of experience in the construction and property development industries, both in Malaysia and Singapore.
