Sasbadi secures MoE textbook contract under School Curriculum 2027


PETALING JAYA: Sasbadi Holdings Bhd has secured a contract from the Ministry of Education (MoE) to publish, print and supply a textbook package under the new School Curriculum 2027.

In a bourse filing yesterday, the education publisher said its wholly owned subsidiary, The Malaya Press Sdn Bhd (TMP), had signed and accepted a letter of acceptance from the MoE for the subject “Bahasa Cina Pendidikan Khas Tahun 1”.

The contract carries an estimated value of RM444,000 and will run from June 2, 2026 to Sept 1, 2027.

Sasbadi said TMP is expected to deliver the contract in the first quarter of the financial year ending Aug 31, 2027.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the Sasbadi Holdings Group for the financial year ending 31 August 2027 and throughout the duration of the Contract,” the group said.

The company added that it does not foresee any exceptional risks arising from the contract apart from normal operational risks associated with the project.

Sasbadi also said none of its directors, major shareholders or persons connected to them have any direct or indirect interest in the contract.
