Exsim Hospitality unit secures RM45mil contract to develop Summit Hotel USJ


PETALING JAYA: Exsim Hospitality Bhd has secured a RM45mil contract from AmFIRST Real Estate Investment Trust (AmFIRST REIT) for the execution, construction and completion works of a 17-storey hotel with three basement levels known as Summit Hotel USJ.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said its wholly-owned subsidiary EXSIM Concepto Sdn Bhd has accepted the letter of award dated May 19, 2026 awarded by Maybank Trustees Bhd, acting as trustee for AmFIRST REIT.

The contract will commence on May 22, 2026 and will be completed in three phases. Phase 1A entails the common area and architectural works which are expected to be completed by Oct 28, 2026.

Phase 1B involves 183 units of guest room (Level 7 to 14) works which will be completed by Oct 28, 2026. Phase 2 entails 149 units of guest room (Level 15 to 21) and is projected to be completed by Dec 31, 2026.

The nature of business of EXSIM Concepto is principally involved in providing specialised fit-out services for hospitality property assets, general contracting business and centralised procurement business. Meanwhile, AmFIRST REIT owns and invests in a portfolio of commercial properties in major growth areas in Malaysia.
