Bean Here! opens at KPTM Ipoh, eyes campus growth

KPTM CEO Radzuan Razali, together with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk) deputy chief executive (corporate affairs) Nurdita Fadzlinda Ahmad Rasidi, officiated the opening of Bean Here! Coffee & Pastries, owned by Silver Lifestyle Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of PKNPk.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bean Here! Coffee & Pastries has opened a new outlet at Kolej Poly-Tech MARA (KPTM) Ipoh, as its operator looks to grow the brand through campus locations.

The café is run by Silver Lifestyle Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk).

In a statement, PKNPk said Silver Lifestyle Sdn Bhd started the brand in 2020 at the Perak Techno Trade Centre (PTTC) and has since expanded to several sites, including Hotel Casuarina@Meru and Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah.

Bean Here! operates through three core concepts — Kiosk Uber Concept, Café Swanky Bar and Kiosk Petite — each developed to cater to diverse market demands.

Silver Lifestyle director Nur Ismail Mohammed said the focus now is to keep existing outlets stable while expanding carefully.

“It focuses on safeguarding existing business, strategic investments, and more efficient financial management, while leveraging market potential to support sustainable development,” he said.

At the state level, the expansion ties into Perak Sejahtera 2030, which focuses on growing local businesses.

Meanwhile, another director, Harris bin Mohd Rodzi, who oversees Bean Here!’s operations and marketing, said more campus and transport-linked locations are being considered, including Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL).

Separately, PKNPk deputy chief executive (corporate affairs) Nurdita Fadzlinda Ahmad Rasidi said efforts like this can help smaller suppliers and entrepreneurs take part in the local economy.

“Through the involvement of the private sector and educational institutions, we can empower youth with relevant skills while creating an environment that supports social interaction and inclusive community development,” she said.
