Uzma bags PETRONAS Carigali contract


KUALA LUMPUR: Uzma Bhd, via its wholly-owned subsidiary Uzma Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a contract from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of leasing and operation and maintenance of portable water injection module (PWIM) for Phase 3 of the Bayan redevelopment project.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, it said the works comprise the design, engineering, procurement, construction, and transport of one unit of PWIM within a one year period.

Subsequently, Uzma Engineering will install, commission, operate and maintain the PWIM unit for a primary term of seven years, with an option to extend for a further two years.

The contract is effective from March 27, 2026, for an eight-year period unless extended or terminated.

It is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the company for the financial year ending June 30, 2026, and throughout its duration.
