PETALING JAYA: TAS Offshore Bhd
has redesignated its deputy managing director Lau Choo Chin to the position of managing director with effect from April 30.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the shipbuilding and ship repairing firm said Lau (50), succeeds Datuk Lau Nai Hoh (75), who will be resigning due to health reasons.
Separately, TAS Offshore announced that its net profit for the third quarter ended Feb 28, 2026, rose to RM2.95mil from RM205,000 in the previous corresponding period, mainly due to the weak performance in the previous corresponding quarter – which was impacted by low margins following the disposal of a vessel held in inventory.
