A1 acquires land in Selangor for RM17mil to set up regional office

PETALING JAYA: A1 A.K. Koh Group Bhd (A1) is proposing to acquire a parcel of 99-year leasehold land measuring approximately 1.01 acres in Pekan Puchong Jaya, Selangor, from Qualitypack Properties Sdn Bhd for RM16.73mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the processed food and beverage products distributor said the land is intended to serve as the group’s new regional office in the central region.

“At present, A1 operates in the central region of Malaysia at a rented business office located at Taman Perindustrian OUG, Kuala Lumpur.

“Over the past few years, A1 has seen significant growth in its business operations, staff strength and overall presence in the central region. This growth has resulted in a need for additional space to support the increasing scale of its operations and ensure continued efficiency.”

As a result, A1 said it requires new premises to better accommodate its daily operations and future expansion plans.
