Proton launches its most refined SUV variant yet

Proton Edar chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa.

PETALING JAYA: National carmaker Proton Holdings Bhd has officially launched an enhanced edition of its C-segment sport utility vehicle – the Proton X70 Sport Edition (SE).

In a statement yesterday, Proton said this version will be limited to only 600 units and will feature 10 upgrades to its current Proton X70 premium variant, roughly RM6,000 worth of added value.

Proton Edar Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa said the new edition will look at offering customers a more dynamic and refined expression of the X70, tailored for those who want a stronger sense of style while retaining the comfort and technology the model is known for.

He said for every one of the Proton X70 SE, an exclusive launch package will be available.

“There will be a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage and six times free labour service, plus financing options of up to nine years with interest rates starting from 2.2% per annum, a margin of finance up to 90%, and overtrade support of up to RM2,000 for customers trading in their existing vehicles,” he noted.

The other two offerings from the launch package are a five-year in-car data package with 2GB per month and a Proton Insurance Programme with enhanced coverage.
