MNC Wireless to fund digital push with rights issue

KUALA LUMPUR: MNC Wireless Bhd is expanding into digital document management and mobile advertising platforms, while proposing a rights issue to fund the initiatives.

“With increasing market demand for secure and verifiable digital transactions, especially in sectors like government, finance, education, and legal, where the integrity of digital documents is critically important, MNC plans to develop the e-SIJIL platform to provide effective solutions to these needs,” MNC said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The e-SIJIL platform offers a comprehensive solution covering the creation, archiving, reviewing, sharing, and verification of digital documents.

Separately, MNC is also rolling out a mobile advertising platform aimed at connecting e-hailing operators, advertisers and passengers through personalised in-ride content.

The platform will feature headrest tablets installed in rideshare vehicles, delivering targeted advertisements based on location and journey duration.

MNC said that, with end-user consent, the platform can leverage data such as age, gender and trip details via API integration with e-hailing services to enhance content relevance and engagement.

To fund the expansion, MNC is undertaking a renounceable rights issue of new shares with free detachable Warrants D.

The exercise is on the basis of three rights shares and one free Warrant D for every existing share held as at 5pm on April 15, 2026.

The rights shares are priced at 4 sen each, while the warrants carry an exercise price of 4 sen.

The ex-date for the rights issue is April 14, with trading of the rights commencing on April 16. The last date for acceptance and payment, as well as excess application, is April 30, 2026.
