KUALA LUMPUR: Citaglobal Bhd via its wholly-owned civil engineering and construction subsidiary Citaglobal Land Sdn Bhd has accepted an RM156mil contract from the public works department for the design and build of military family housing at Markas Wilayah Laut 2 in Sandakan, Sabah.

The group said in a statement the contract was awarded following a competitive tender process administered by the public works department.

Citaglobal Land was appointed the integrated delivery partner with end-to-end accountability from design and engineering through to construction, commissioning, and handover.

The project, which has a duration of 40 months, entails the design and construction of permanent military family housing and supporting facilities for officers and personnel of the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) at MAWILLA 2, a principal naval installation responsible for maritime operations in the eastern waters of Sabah.

"Citaglobal is committed to delivering this project to the standards expected by JKR and the Ministry of Defence, and to contributing meaningfully to the development of East Malaysia through responsible infrastructure delivery.

"Design-and-build contracts of this nature demand a high degree

of technical integration and delivery discipline, and our team is fully prepared to meet that standard," said Citaglobal executive chairman and president Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria.
