KUALA LUMPUR: Technology and digital infrastructure company Theta Edge Bhd
has appointed Datuk Amrul Hisyam Alias as its group managing director and chief executive officer (CEO), effective today.
The company said Amrul Hisyam is succeeding Datuk Nuraslina Zainal Abidin, who has resigned as group managing director and CEO to pursue personal commitments.
Theta Edge said the appointment underscores the board's commitment to strengthening the group's leadership capabilities as the company continues to expand its footprint in technology, telecommunications, digital infrastructure and large-scale systems integration projects.
Amrul Hisyam, who previously served as Theta Edge’s executive deputy chairman, is the founder and former group chairman of the vertically integrated telecommunications infrastructure group, Stealth Group of Companies, with more than two decades of operating experience in Malaysia.
He has successfully led and developed infrastructure-focused businesses while playing a significant role in advancing telecommunications infrastructure and connectivity nationwide throughout his career.
Under his leadership, Stealth Group evolved from a project-based operator into an integrated infrastructure platform encompassing site acquisition, build-to-suit tower development, asset ownership and long-term network operations.
Hence, the board believes that Amrul Hisyam's "deep industry expertise, strategic vision and proven leadership capabilities will further strengthen Theta Edge's position as a leading technology and digital infrastructure player.”
Looking ahead, Theta Edge said it will focus on opportunities in digital infrastructure, telecommunications, smart mobility and technology solutions. - Bernama
