PETALING JAYA: Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Bhd has appointed Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali as its independent non-executive chairman, succeeding Tun Richard Malanjum, who has resigned from the position.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the consumer goods distributor said Mohd Zuki, 64, holds a degree in economics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, a diploma in public management from the National Institute of Public Administration and a master of business administration from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Mohd Zuki began his career in the Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1992 and has held various positions across ministries and government agencies.

He previously served as director-general of the Legal Affairs Division in the Prime Minister’s Department, Sarawak’s secretary for federal affairs, senior deputy secretary-general at the Prime Minister’s Department and secretary-general of the Defence Ministry.
