Hextar Capital secures RM76mil construction job

PETALING JAYA: Hextar Capital Bhd has been awarded sub-contract works for the Kem Kabota Project in Tawau, Sabah, worth RM75.9mil, to undertake geotechnical and earth works, pavement, infrastructure works and related construction work for the project.

In a statement, the company said the project will start immediately for a contract duration of 12 months and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2027.

Hextar managing director Johnson Chang said the contract win marks a strategic advancement for the group, as it accelerates its footprint in Sabah and Sarawak.

“Securing this major project serves as a pivotal step in establishing a stronger operational presence in Sabah.

“As Sabah continues to prioritise infrastructure development and urban growth, this award positions Hextar to participate more actively in the state’s expanding construction pipeline. The contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings.”

Hextar is a diversified company with operations spanning manufacturing, engineering services and trading, telecommunication network infrastructure solutions, power generation and transmission, construction and project management as well as money lending.
