NexG reinstates Abu Hanifah as executive chairman, CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: NexG Bhd has reinstated the executive powers and functions of its executive chairman and chief executive officer (CEO), Datuk Abu Hanifah Noordin, with immediate effect.

The security-based information and communications technology solutions provider said it “has resolved to reinstate” Abu Hanifah following further deliberation and after taking into consideration the recent progress of an ongoing internal review on March 11.

“The board had previously announced on March 5, 2026, the temporary suspension of the executive powers and functions of Abu Hanifah as an administrative measure to allow an ongoing review to proceed in a transparent, independent, and orderly manner,” it said in a stock exchange filing.

According to NexG, the board remains committed to upholding strong corporate governance, accountability, and transparency, and will continue to ensure that the ongoing review process is conducted in accordance with the company’s governance procedures and standard operating practices. — Bernama
