Wawasan Dengkil wins RM116.4mil earthworks subcontract in Selangor


KUALA LUMPUR: Wawasan Dengkil Holdings Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Wawasan Dengkil Sdn Bhd has secured a RM116.39mil earthworks subcontract in Selangor from Landasan Angsana Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the earthwork and civil engineering firm said the contract involves the execution and completion of earthworks and related works for Phase 1(B), Phase 2 and Phase 3 at part of Precinct 5C in the Northern Zone of the UMW High Value Manufacturing Park in Bandar Serendah, Hulu Selangor.

Wawasan Dengkil said the commencement date for the subcontract works will be notified by Landasan Angsana, with the subcontract period corresponding to the duration of the main contract.

It added that the defect liability period will be 12 months from the issuance of the certificate of practical completion under the main contract.

Wawasan Dengkil said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings per share, net assets per share and gearing throughout the project period.
