Velesto secures Sabah offshore contracts

The contracts outline the provision of comprehensive maintenance services for top tension risers at SSPC’s Tension Leg Platform offshore Sabah.

KUALA LUMPUR: Velesto Energy Bhd’s subsidiary, Velesto Workover Sdn Bhd has secured two contracts from Sabah Shell Petroleum Co Ltd (SSPC) to support its deepwater operations offshore Sabah.

The contracts outline the provision of comprehensive maintenance services for top tension risers at SSPC’s Tension Leg Platform offshore Sabah.

Velesto president Megat Zariman Abdul Rahim said the award reflected Velesto’s expertise to support SSPC’s offshore activities and the group’s consistent focus on safe and efficient operations.

“These projects help support the group’s long-term resilience by diversifying into a broader range of services,” he said in a statement yesterday.

“The multi-year contracts form part of Velesto’s continued progress to expand its integrated maintenance and engineering offerings within the upstream energy sector.” — Bernama
