MISC to charter two more LNG carriers for PETRONAS LNG


PETALING JAYA: MISC Bhd will be chartering two additional liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers for PETRONAS LNG Ltd under a charter contract that was secured last month.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MISC said the 20-year charter contract initially covered three newly built LNG carriers.

It said the two new LNG carriers will also be chartered by PETRONAS LNG under the contract.

“The LNG carriers will be chartered for a firm period of 20 years with charter commencement expected in 2029 and 2030,” it said.
