Keyfield firmly in net cash position

PETALING JAYA: Offshore accommodation provider Keyfield International Bhd is expected to yield a net gain of up to RM77mil from the disposal of the company’s accommodation workboat, the Keyfield Compassion.

The disposal, which was announced last November, would see the company generate a net gain of around RM75mil to RM77mil and place it firmly in a net cash position, TA Research said.

The research house said with the company already operating at minimal leverage, the disposal would see it materially strengthening liquidity buffers while enhancing capital allocation flexibility.

“Proceeds are expected to be redeployed towards future fleet expansion, while part of the gains may be channelled to shareholders,” it noted, expecting a higher-than-expected dividend payout for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026.
