TSR Capital unit wins RM99mil KL–Karak Highway widening contract


KUALA LUMPUR: TSR Capital Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, TSR Bina Sdn Bhd, together with its joint venture partner, has accepted a RM99mil contract for the proposed widening of the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Highway.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the letter of award was issued by AFA Construction and Engineering Sdn Bhd.

The contract covers the construction and completion of earthworks and related works under Package 1B for the proposed widening of the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Highway, spanning KM19.20 to KM39.00 for Section 1 and KM39.00 to KM64.50 for Section 2.

The 18-month contract is scheduled for completion by the third quarter of 2027.

TSR executive director Lim Dian Ping said the award marks an important step forward in TSR Capital’s continued expansion within the infrastructure construction sector.

“It strengthens the group’s order book and enhances our earnings visibility, while reinforcing our strategic focus on growing our presence in transportation infrastructure, civil engineering, and large-scale earthworks projects, which remain core areas of our expertise.”
