TMC Life optimistic amid 2Q turnaround

PETALING JAYA: TMC Life Sciences is optimistic about achieving its growth targets, supported by increased capacity and ongoing expansion at Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara.

The company aims to continue broadening its customer mix by attracting more corporate and international patients, while strengthening collaborative partnerships with insurers to support mutually sustainable growth.

In its second quarter ended Dec 31, 2025 (2Q26) TMC Life returned to profitability with a net profit of RM6.56mil, compared with a net loss of RM947,000 a year ago.

Revenue rose to RM103.5mil from RM80.4mil previously.

“The increase in profit was due to contributions from our various specialties and cost efficiency initiatives at Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara.

“Evolving dynamics in the reimbursement environment continue to influence the private healthcare landscape, as payors place greater emphasis on affordability, efficiency and value,” the company said in a Bursa Malaysia filing.
