PETALING JAYA: AME Elite Consortium Bhd has secured a RM214.1mil contract to construct a specialised aviation facility at KLIA Aeropolis – one of its largest construction wins which reinforces its position in high-specification industrial developments.
The contract was awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary, AME Construction Sdn Bhd, by KLIA Aeropolis Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd
.
The project involved the construction of a Test Cell Facility (phase one) in Sepang, Selangor, designed to support aeronautical engine testing operations that require stringent safety, structural and technical standards.
The scope of work covered the main building works for the specialised aircraft engine testing facility, which will form part of the broader KLIA Aeropolis development.
Construction is scheduled to commence this month, with completion targeted within 12 months.
The project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial year ending March 31, 2027.
Following the award, AME Elite’s construction and engineering division has secured more than RM600mil in external projects since the start of the current financial year.
Executive director and group chief executive Dylan Tan Teck Eng said the contract represented a significant milestone for the group and highlighted its ability to deliver technically complex projects.
“Being entrusted with this landmark project is a key milestone for AME Elite, demonstrating our technical capabilities and adding to our accolades of significant projects. The project contributes to the national blueprint to grow the aerospace industry,” he said.
Tan added that AME Elite’s integrated business model spanning construction, engineering and industrial park development, has enabled the group to deliver a diverse portfolio of customised logistics, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and aviation facilities.
