ICT Zone Asia secures RM23.82mil hardware deal

KUALA LUMPUR: ICT Zone Asia Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, ICT Zone Sdn Bhd, has accepted a purchase order worth RM23.82mil for the trading of ICT hardware.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, ICT Zone Asia said the purchase order was received from an undisclosed Malaysia-based ICT solutions provider and distributor, with the identity withheld due to confidentiality obligations.

The scope of the order involves the supply of ICT hardware, including laptops and mice, with delivery to be carried out on a date to be agreed by both parties.

ICT Zone Asia said it plans to finance the procurement of the hardware through a combination of bank borrowings and/or internally generated funds.

“The purchase order is expected to contribute positively to the earnings per share and net assets per share of the company and its subsidiaries upon fulfilment of the purchase order,” it said.

It added that the group’s gearing level is expected to rise, as the company intends to procure bank borrowings to partially finance the purchase of ICT hardware to fulfil the order.
