Suria Capital appoints new chairman


PETALING JAYA: Suria Capital Holdings Bhd has appointed Datuk Seri Abd Rahman Dahlan as its chairman.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the port operations and bunkering services firm said Abd Rahman (61) will succeed Datuk Faisyal Yusof Hamdain Diego (64), who has resigned to pursue other interests.

Abd Rahman previously served as a two-term Member of Parliament for Kota Belud and was appointed Federal Minister of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government, before later serving as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department overseeing the Economic Planning Unit.

He has also held chairmanship roles at Sabah Oil & Gas Development Corp Sdn Bhd, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, and Seeds Capital Group, among others.
