Perak Transit appoints Ismail Jamal as general manager


KUALA LUMPUR: Perak Transit Bhd has appointed Ismail Jamal as general manager, effective Jan 21, 2026.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Perak Transit said Ismail, 46, has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and commercial roles across sectors, including transportation, oil and gas, automotive, fuel retail, medical equipment and public administration.

Prior to the appointment, Ismail was head of the group’s commercial and retail business division.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi MARA.

“His appointment as general manager reflects the company's commitment to leveraging his deep expertise, proven leadership, and extensive network to drive growth, operational excellence, and commercial success across all business segments,” Perak Transit said.

Separately, the company said Jennifer Chin Yi Teng, the group’s chief financial officer, has been redesignated as corporate affairs manager, effective Jan 21, 2026, as part of its strategic reorganisation.

“This redesignation is part of the company's strategic reorganisation, and she will continue to contribute her experience and expertise to the group in her new role,” it said.
