SkyGate acquires property investment firm for RM76mil

"PETALING JAYA: SkyGate Solutions Bhd is acquiring Penang-based property investment firm Dahlia Cemerlang Sdn Bhd (DCSB) from Prominent Goldhill Sdn Bhd, Promaddun Sdn Bhd and Jitu Sempurna Sdn Bhd for RM75.9mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the proposed acquisition represents a strategic investment by the SkyGate Group.

It said the proposed acquisition is consistent with the group’s long-term strategy to expand and strengthen its investment properties portfolio with income-generating assets located in established growth regions.

SkyGate said DCSB is the registered owner of an industrial complex located in Seberang Perai, Penang (subject property), which will be acquired as part of the proposed acquisition.

“The subject property is accessible via the Penang (First) Bridge and is in close proximity to the Butterworth Ferry Terminal and Railway Station.

“As such, it is expected to provide the group with a stable and recurring rental income stream.”
