BHIC partners with French DCI to explore defence collaboration

KUALA LUMPUR: Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Bhd (BHIC) has entered into a non-binding collaboration agreement with French defence services company Défense Conseil International (DCI) to establish a framework for exploring potential long-term cooperation in Malaysia.

DCI operates under the French Ministry of Armed Forces.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, BHIC said the collaboration will focus on areas such as spare parts and component support for rotary-wing platforms, as well as technical, manpower and other related support services.

BHIC said the agreement will not affect the company’s earnings, gearing, share capital, or the substantial shareholders’ shareholdings.

"There is no certainty that the ongoing discussions between the parties will result in the entry into any binding agreement of the proposed transaction. Any key development in relation to the agreement will be announced as required,” it added. - Bernama
