IAB secures RM58mil water supply contract

PETALING JAYA: Insights Analytics Bhd (IAB) has accepted a letter of award from Bumia Sdn Bhd to act as a sub-contractor for the proposed Betong regional water supply grid from Betong to Pusa, Sarawak, worth RM58.42mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the water technology solutions provider said the scope of work included pipeline, mechanical and electrical and infrastructure works.

IAB said the project will commence on Jan 12, 2026 and be completed on July 11, 2028. “The project is subject to operational, construction and regulatory risks.

“However, these are considered manageable within the ordinary course of business. The board of directors does not foresee any exceptional risk factors arising from this project.”

IAB said the project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings over the contract duration.
